Hi, I love The Japanese Shop, best thing in the world more
Clare
These are superb quality woodblock prints with incredibly strong vivid colours and crafted in the same style as the originals by Katsushika Hokusai (1760–1849) who was a master ukiyo-e (woodblock) painter and printmaker of the Edo period. Born in Edo (now Tokyo), Hokusai is best-known as author of the woodblock print series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji which includes the internationally recognized print, The Great Wave off Kanagawa, created during the 1820s. We do not keep these prints in stock so please allow an extra 2 weeks for delivery.
