Red Kotobuki Shugi Bukuro

The Red Kotobuki Shugi Bukuro is an envelope used in Japan for gifts of money at weddings, births or other special occasions. It has a small paper pocket into which you can put money and is decorated with cords of tightly-twisted paper tied in an intricate bow. Cords used on happy occasions are either red and white, gold and silver or red and gold.
