Discover our elegant collection of Japanese Shugi Bukuro, beautifully decorated envelope cards traditionally used for gifting money on special occasions. Choose your design and enjoy complimentary Japanese-style gift wrapping if required.

Traditional Japanese Money Envelopes for Special Occasions

Japanese Shugi Bukuro feature a white inner pocket wrapped in decorative paper and secured with mizuhiki cord or coloured wire. In Japan they are used to present money at weddings, New Year celebrations, funerals and other important events. Designs may include pre-printed kanji such as congratulations or wedding celebration, with space to add the recipient’s name and a personal message. We also offer smaller shugi bukuro, funeral-specific designs known as bu shugi bukuro and simpler pochi bukuro often given to children with pocket money.

A Stylish Way to Present Money or Vouchers

Ideal for weddings, birthdays or seasonal celebrations, these decorative envelopes elevate even the simplest gift. Explore traditional Japanese money envelopes, pochi bukuro and ceremonial gift cards, all part of our wider range of authentic Japanese gifts.
